Baye Enterprises’ standard wood species include Cherry, Maple, Walnut, and Oak. Other native and exotic species are available upon request.

Baye Enterprises’ standard finish features a high-quality, UV protectant pre-catalyzed lacquer, the only architecturally approved equivalent to a conversion varnish finish. Our standard finish offerings complement ten wood-grain high-pressure laminate products:

Baye offers environmentally-friendly, water-based finishes upon request.

Age, climate and exposure to sunlight and minerals within the soil are all contributing factors that can cause color and grain variations in hardwood and veneer; these natural variations may even occur in the same tree. Application of stains can achieve some uniformity of color, but variations are considered normal and acceptable by industry standards. Veneers and hardwoods will oxidize or age with prolonged exposure to sunlight.

Careful attention is paid to the staining and shading process; however, certain variations will occur due to the inherent characteristics of wood and its natural beauty.

Custom finishes are available to match the color of existing woodwork, architectural details or other products. Baye cannot match unique grain patterns of a particular species of wood. Baye charges a one-time custom color stain match fee for this service. A stain match sample will be provided for customer approval, and production will begin upon receipt of written approval of the sample. Custom finish orders are not subject to cancellation and may require a deposit.

Baye’s pre-catalyzed finish can be cleaned with mild soap and water or with Windex™ using a clean, cotton cloth. Furniture polishes should be avoided, as they leave a silicone residue. Fine wood furniture should not be exposed to strong sunlight, open windows, heat registers or dampness; these environments may cause premature fading or warpage to the product. Products with a rubber base, such as a mouse pad, may cause petroleum migration. To protect your finish, use felt pads at the base of desktop accessories. Use only non-abrasive cleaners and avoid acetone or bleach solutions.
